Patriot Class
Upper Elementary (Ages 9-11)

This is where learning expands and discoveries abound in a cooperative learning environment. These students in grades 4-6 are moving from concrete thinking only into more abstract learning. Math facts and mastery are reinforced, penmanship and grammar taught, spelling and vocabulary expanded, and report/letter writing skills are begun. The students are taught history by studying about great leaders to learn from their lives. Science expands to the studying of Galileo, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Edison, and Albert Einstein. Students are taught to ask questions and search for answers. They continue to learn leadership skills, independence, accountability, culture, and respect for others.
